I did enjoy this song - and I really like Kesha's raspy voice. When my daughter was young, I think primary school, that thrift shop song was a big hit, all the kids were singing it. I do very much have the sense that we are living in the good ol days. That became very clear to me when the pandemic started, the sense that life was never going to be the same, and I think that has continued for many. So yes, a really nice acknowledgement to embrace the sweetness of life still here. Adding this one to my spotify liked songs too. Thank you :-)

I'm so glad you liked the song, and you make an excellent point about the pandemic. The pandemic figures prominently in the post I'm publishing tomorrow morning - so we're on the same wavelength! That experience truly has made us much more aware of how fragile everything is ... how nothing is promised. And yet, we still often fall back into old habits of taking things for granted. We're only human after all. Happy listening!

Really didn't know about either artist. Don't love the music but do love the sentiment of the song!

I hear you. If you stick around, you’ll find that my music taste is nothing if not eclectic. (Translation: all over the board) ;) I’m glad you enjoyed the sentiment. It’s a reminder I need often.
