Well done. I unexpectedly and often go down rabbit holes. I love these kind of adventures. Upon returning, I feel less how do you say? Disturbed. Good points made metaphorically and actually.
Wonderful piece, Jamie. You sum up so beautifully the daily discombobulation of living in this new surreal universe. I feel as I'm being driven mad by it. The only comfort I can find is in knowing that I am not alone in my fear and horror. Thank you for your beautiful writing in these dark times.
I love this side quest, Jamie! It’s so well written, one of my favorites so far. I mostly love that you didn’t give a damn about tying posts together or coming up with an assignment. I love that you are writing about the bullshit going on but also that you write about what you are seeing in your head. That is my favorite of all. Thank you for tying it all together with these delightful memes. Just a perfect post! An absolute delight.
Thank you SO much, Lyns. YOU are a big part of the inspiration behind this post - your advice to just write what I want to ... I took that to heart and had so much FUN with this one. So, thank you for that. Truly. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it. It made me happy too!
I LOVE going down rabbit holes! I do it almost daily. My mind moves from one thing to another, I distract easily, and I have boundless curiosity, so....Love this post, Jamie. You're a fabulous thinker and writer no matter what topic you explore! Thank you for this one. xo
Thank you so much, Nan! I'm so delighted that you enjoyed this one. It was a lot of fun to write, and that's what I've been looking for these days. Here's to more rabbit holes! 😁
O my gosh Jamie, your "bad ass bunnies" made me laugh. My first pet (and maybe my totem animal?) was a rabbit. His name was Zeko (which means "Rabbit" in Croatian. Your post brings all the dimensions of Zeko to life and laughter. Thank you!
Yeah to this- you succeeded! The Croatian bit is rather boring, I’m afraid, Croatian on both sides. My dad moved back there a couple years ago. I like visiting :).

Thank you so much for a refreshing invitation.

Zeko is a fabulous name, and now I want to know about the Croation connection. I'm glad this made you laugh. That's exactly what I was after today. 💜

That’s not boring at all. Very cool!
I'm so glad you enjoyed this trip, and indulged in meeting a few more marginalia monsters. They are super fun!
And - to answer your questions - I've never experienced a shamanistic journey. Have you?
Intriguing. Have you written about it?
