Rebecca Hooper's writing is a marvel, and her voiceovers are captivating. The arrival of her newsletter feels like a gift. She writes about the natural world and weaves her observations of small moments into reflections on the world at large and our own human hearts.
Lyns inspires me to look at the world differently and delivers just the right amount of spooky to my inbox. She tells all different kinds of stories, and many are accompanied by her gorgeous photographs. Also - as a bonus to her fabulous writing - she's an excellent curator on Notes.
Jess writes about joy, but not in a sappy, rose-tinted glasses kind of way. Her relationship with joy is a little grittier, a little more real-life, and a whole lot of fun. She always makes me smile, and she always makes me think.
I have followed Jenny since way back in the OG blogging days. Her books make me snort my tea, and her Substack of short missives accompanied by her whimsical ink drawings is a welcoming oasis of rest, acceptance, and camaraderie.
Christina Patterson is the incredibly well-read, endlessly insightful, subversively funny friend you wish you had. Her wonderful writing is always as entertaining as it is informative. Reading her makes me feel smarter.
